Discover our ensaïmadas and homemade ice creams, by Jaime III

Tradition, hospitality, and sweetness in the heart of Palma

Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo opened its second location in 1990, on c/ Baró de Santa Maria del Sepulcre. It is one of Palma’s most emblematic and distinctive ice cream and chocolate houses. Here you can enjoy a thick hot chocolate with a delicious ensaïmada, a handcrafted almond ice cream, or a fluffy coca de quarto. Preserving the essence of tradition that has distinguished us since the 18th century, this corner of Palma’s center is the perfect refuge to savor sweetness and hospitality with every visit.

Our customers' opinions

Everything was delicious. The almond horchata, nice and cold; the cream ensaïmada, excellent; and the coca de patata, sublime! This is a must-visit if you’re in Mallorca.

This is one of those places that, no matter how many years go by, keeps its charm intact. Its traditional décor, authentic and full of history, remains the same as it’s always been, which makes it even more special. The homemade ensaïmadas and cocas are simply delicious, made with that genuine flavor you only get with tradition and care. The hot chocolate, homemade and always served just right, is the perfect complement to enjoy a unique experience. I love this place: its products, its atmosphere, and above all its warm and friendly staff, who make you feel at home with every visit. Without a doubt, a spot I recommend to everyone and one I’ll keep coming back to whenever I can.

You can only taste the authentic Mallorcan ensaïmada here; they’ve been making it since 1700, among many other things. A very elegant, cozy, and well-air-conditioned place with attentive and friendly staff. You can’t leave Palma or the island without visiting.

Great place! The ensaïmadas are amazing. We ordered the plain one, the angel hair one, the tallada (sobrasada and pumpkin), and the cream one. Our favorites were the tallada and the cream (it’s generously filled). We also ordered horchata—it was really good and refreshing. Prices are fair. 100% recommended if you go to Palma.
