Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo awaits you at its location on Can Sanç Street, in the very heart of Palma’s old town, a place where Mallorcan tradition is felt in every detail. Among antique lamps and marble tables, the welcoming atmosphere invites you to savor a rich hot chocolate with ensaïmada or a handcrafted ice cream made just as in the past. True to the essence that has accompanied us since the 18th century, in Can Sanç history blends with the calm of Palma’s historic center, offering every visitor a moment of sweetness and hospitality that lingers in the memory.
Cozy and charming place, ideal for relaxing and enjoying a delicious ensaïmada. The most typical and recommended is the plain ensaïmada, and it’s spectacular! It’s also worth trying the almond horchata. 100% recommended. Important: wait to be assigned a table, as indicated by the sign at the entrance.
This place is a trip to the past (literally, it has existed since 1700), but the best part is that it’s still a 10/10. Whenever I’m in Mallorca I stop by for their ensaïmadas—my goodness, they’re so delicious! The café is very picturesque, old, and perfect for a quiet afternoon snack after walking through the center. If your order is to eat in, I recommend trying the warm ensaïmada with a scoop of ice cream on top—it’s a delight. On this occasion I ordered it to go because I was in a bit of a hurry.
A place full of charm in the center of Palma. The café is beautiful, keeping a traditional air that makes it unique. The ice creams (especially the almond one) are spectacular, the ensaïmadas and sweets are irresistible, and they also have very tasty sandwiches. The waiters are extremely kind and attentive, which makes the experience even better. A must-visit to enjoy authentic Mallorcan tradition.
Incredible experience at this horchata and chocolate house in Mallorca. I went for work and was recommended to stop by and try their ensaïmadas. It was the right choice: excellent service and really delicious ensaïmadas and ice creams.
