Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo opens its doors with a new location in the city center, on C/ Sindicat, one of Palma’s most emblematic avenues, inviting you to enjoy a hot chocolate with ensaïmada, a handcrafted almond ice cream, or a leisurely coffee in an authentic and cozy atmosphere. With the same essence that has accompanied us since the 18th century, here history blends with the vibrant rhythm of the center, offering visitors a sweet and hospitable pause along the way.
Whenever you visit Palma, don’t miss Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo and enjoy an almond, hazelnut, strawberry, or chocolate ice cream together with the most authentic Mallorcan ensaïmada. They’re 100% natural. In the original house, which has more than 100 years of history, you can admire beautiful paintings. You can also buy the typical and authentic Mallorcan coca. There are usually lines of people waiting due to its reputation, but the waiters are very efficient, and you rarely wait more than ten minutes.
The best sweets on the island. A traditional, cozy, and very affordable spot with the finest Mallorcan pastries. The prices are unbeatable and the authenticity and quality of the food are spectacular. Especially the almond ice cream.
A delight! The best ensaïmadas we tried in Mallorca. We had the plain one, one with Nutella, and one with sobrasada—each was excellent. The mini sandwiches were also delicious. The perfect place for breakfast or an afternoon treat if you’re in Mallorca. It fills up quickly, but the service is fast and the staff friendly.
I can’t say what the service is like in the place, as I ordered ensaïmadas to take away: one with cream and another with chocolate. The best I’ve ever had. The dough is flaky and consistent, far from the “chewy” industrial versions, and the filling is exceptional. They even tie them up with string and tape for transport, making sure they arrive in perfect condition. I went on the recommendation of locals and it was a great decision. Without a doubt, 100% recommended.
