We are a small majorcan family which has been producing homemade traditional products typical of the city foremore 3 centuries.
At present we have 3 premises in Palma, the first, established in 1977, is located in Calle Sanç and it has preserved all the features of the first shop opened in the 1700s. The second, which opened in the 90s, is located in one of the most emblematic, exclusive áreas of the city and strives to maintain all the quality and finesse of the original Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo. The new premises opened in 2018 is located on the ground floor of the old Triquet bar building, designed by Gaspar Bennàssar in 1909. It is the place with a more modern design.
We owe to our customers, since they are generation after generation those that keep the history, custom and essence of Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo.
The pleasure of eating almond ice cream with Friends is how we measure our happiness. Quality is our principal virtue because we use products which enable us to produce excellent products.
Pioneering in the production of ice-cream
Almond ice-cream was the first to be produced and it was of such good quality that doctors on the island prescribed it to their patients due to its nutritional value. The ice was good for easing the pain of inflammations and the digestive properties of the almonds as well as their energy content made this ice-cream an all round success with patients.
It is still made in the same way today as it was made 300 years ago.
